Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the most important stuff):

  • Develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage and develop existing accounts, maximising revenue.
  • Deliver sales and revenue targets against all Whisper output.
  • Maximise face time and build extensive contact networks with individual clients.
  • Work with the Commercial Director –to shape the commercial strategy for Whisper, particularly within the UK but also across Europe/USA
  • Tailor sales approaches so that they are bespoke, intelligent and consultative.
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts via a well-managed pipeline.
  • Provide market insight and competitor analysis.
  • Develop and drive business cases for product /content enhancements to satisfy client needs.
  • Extensive travel representing Whisper at conferences or at face to face meetings.
  • The ability to effectively manage your time and utilise resources to achieve the best possible product and deliver on budget and to brief
  • Upholding the reputation of the company by buying into the ethos of Whisper Films

Skills

  • Experience within the broadcast industry, and a real passion for sport and brands
  • Proven sales ability within account management and / or new business; clear evidence of delivering against performance targets.
  • Highly developed communication and relationship building skills.
  • Experience in presenting at senior level.
  • Super-organised and someone who makes things happen and likes to be accountable
  • Agile and flexible working style
  • Confidence to be able to deal with the most senior level clients and internal talent
  • A high energy, positive, can-do person who is always looking for ways to improve what we do

Management Accountant

Due to rapid growth and diversification of the business there is now an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Management Accountant to join the Finance team. Working across three companies in the TV production space, you will need to be adaptable and keen to meet each businesses KPI’s. As Management Accountant you will ensure that the accounting records are up to date and reporting deadlines are met.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the most important stuff):

• Preparation of Management Accounts providing P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis and commentary for Parent Company plus subsidiaries.

• Group consolidation of Management Accounts

• Monthly cash flow forecasting and reporting

• VAT returns Monthly and Quarterly

• Preparing revenue forecasts and weekly debtor reviews

• Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

• Supporting production teams with answering finance related queries

• Overseeing monthly journal posting

• Overseeing monthly billing

• Assisting with the budgeting & forecasting processes

• Assist with the preparation of accounts for yearend close

• Assist with year end audit preparation

• Ad-hoc project

Skills

• Ambitious, with drive and determination

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience of XERO account or similar accounting package is desirable

• Qualified accountant (CIMA ACCA or ACA)

The Details

Working hours are standard Monday – Friday

The position will be predominantly based in Kew, SW London – although there are two other locations (Maidenhead & Cardiff) where the Management Accountant may occasionally be required.

·To create and reversion social media specific edits to tight and changing deadlines

·To research, collate, edit and upload any editorial content required via social media using basic knowledge of video compression

·Ability to reversion broadcast content for use across digital platforms

·Ability to identify and track what material performs well across platforms and liaise with key stakeholders to build on this data

·To collaborate with BBC Sport and NFL UK Digital teams

·To be embedded as part of production teams to ensure joined-up thinking across the board

·Ability to tailor content for specific platforms (eg. Square format or subtitles)

·To demonstrate a good level of technical competency and an ability to learn new technologies and equipment

·To provide accurate information to enable content to be communicated effectively on all digital and broadcast platforms


·To work independently, quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment

·To understand and distribute accurate client requirements to ensure that all deliverables are completed in a timely manner, in order to fulfil the brief

·To contribute ideas across a range of Whisper Films portfolio

·Work across the Whisper Films company social platforms

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

·Demonstrated digital storytelling experience

·Experience in running an edit efficiently and independently with experience of adding effects , GFX and subtitles as needed

·Strong knowledge of digital and social channels and clear understanding of how to create shareable content appropriate to them (including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter)

·Passion for and knowledge of sport that can be transferred into creating interesting, informative and dynamic clips for social media and online content. Knowledge of NFL is an advantage.

·Ability and experience in engaging audiences via Social Media

·Proven experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Video Compression and After FX to create social media specific edits to tight and changing deadlines

·Clear understanding of the logistical requirements of TV and digital production

·Experience in operating camera equipment is desirable but not essential

·An understanding of Copyright and Rights clearances

·Excellent communication and written skills and an aptitude to learn new tasks, and a good attention to detail

·Strong team ethic and the ability to priorities workloads with ease, working in a team environment

The Details:

Working hours will mainly be standard working hours, Monday-Friday, with potential longer hours on Tuesdays and possible weekend work. DOILS will be given for any 6 day weeks. Your main base will be Kew Gardens, London but you may be required to work at times on location or at our studio. There may also be the need to work at our regional office in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Office Manager

Whisper Films is proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities. Whisper has three offices: Kew HQ, Maidenhead and Cardiff. The ideal candidate would be based in the Kew office, but would be expected to oversee key aspects of all three offices. Must be able to cope with the fast and constantly changing nature of a busy TV Production company.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the most important stuff):

  • Managing the office IT, phone and support systems and first point of contact for all office related suppliers
  • Working closely with the COO to develop and implement and maintain new administrative systems to ensure the smooth running of the office
  • Overseeing the office layout, working with COO and Head of Production to find seating and IT solutions for new productions and employees
  • Maintaining supplies of stationary and office equipment.
  • Maintaining the condition of the office and arranging necessary repairs and improvements
  • Liaising with the landlord and relevant building contractors associated with the building up keep.
  • Assisting with recruitment of new staff, including basic training and induction of new starters.
  • Promoting staff development and training.
  • Overseeing the first aid and fire wardens and that training and office is up to date for both.
  • Ensuring all the team have current and relevant health and safety training.
  • Arranging regular testing for electrical equipment and safety devices.
  • Manage the day to day duties of the two runners, ensuring they are used effectively across the productions and the running of the office

Skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages, Mac knowledge a bonus.
  • The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  • Ability to liaise well with others and delegate tasks.
