Post-Production Technical Co-ordinator Role

The Post Production Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the Editors, Production

Executives, Producers and the Senior Management team where necessary. They will need to

work quickly and accurately and be able to work in a fast paced environment, with a solid

technical post production knowledge.

The ideal candidate would have a background in broadcast television and delivering online

content. They would need excellent communication and technical skills and a strong team

ethic.

We are a growing department and we are looking for someone who can work accurately and

independently.

Responsibilities

 Provide direct technical support to the editors and production teams

 Assist with scheduling of editors and resources based on editorial and operational

requirements

 Organise the edit resources effectively and assist with forward planning

 Book editors and check availability when required

 Implement and run the LTO back up system and archiving workflow

 Provide rough assemblies and multi-cam syncs

 Provide some edit assistant work and DiT duties

 Deliver key materials to Production Management or Broadcasters, whilst ensuring that

technical standards are met

 Manage any trainee team members and provide support

 Implement and promote equality and diversity in the team and adhere to Health and

Safety policies

Skills

 Excellent organisational and time management skills

 Experience of working in a pressurised post production environment with the ability to

juggle multiple edits

 Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of a range of editing packages including

Premiere (Apple Mac)

 Good story telling skills and the aptitude to learn craft editing

 Experience of end to end editing of short form packages for online and linear TV with

basic grading and audio mixing skills

 The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

 Ability to work effectively with others and manage relationships in a diverse team

 Have a proactive attitude to work and promote a positive work ethic in the team

 Attention to detail and the ability to spot technical errors

 Experience of ingesting and transcoding files and exporting final file (AS11 and

QuickTime)

Working Hours

Working hours are 9.30am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday, although you may be expected to come

in early and work late during busy periods. Occasional weekend work will be required subject to

operational requirements. Salary to be negotiated. Initial contract 6 months with a view to

extending beyond that.
